ALTER EGO FITNESS

The Fit4U program for kids is designed to ensure children ages eight and up develop the motor skills, strength and coordination necessary to stay healthy and active. Video games, movies and television are steadily becoming the favorite activities of children in our society while obesity rates of both children and adults have reached an all time high. Our goal is to make fitness, sports and exercise a popular choice of our children's lives. We will strive to teach the importance of taking care of your body, eating healthy foods and feeling happy and wholesome when doing so.

Sun Country Sports Center is continuing to enhance the Fit4U program that was launched last year. Because of the success of Fit4U in the after school program and its potential for growth, Sun Country has joined together with Alter Ego Fitness to deliver a more specialized and powerful punch for all participants. Alter Ego Fitness, currently located in Haile Village Center, specializes in personal training and nutrition. So far it is growing fast and gaining popularity in the personal training industry of Gainesville. Lindsay Voirin C.S.C.S., one of the nine Nationally Certified Personal Trainers at Alter Ego Fitness, is now conducting the Fit4U classes in the Sun Country after school program AND will also be offering 60 minute FIT4U classes at other times as well. Classes will be specifically designed for stimulating interest in fitness, having fun with fitness and improving overall fitness. Tools such as push-ups, hula hoops, games and more will be used to teach each class. Lindsay specializes in the areas of group fitness, weight loss for all ages and working with children. She also teaches kindergarten here in Gainesville.

In addition, Personal Training for Adults will be offered by Alter Ego Fitness at Sun Country Sports Center! Plans are being discussed to add a state of the art fitness equipment room to the fitness rooms in each Sun Country Sports Center location, creating personal training studios ideal for private, personal training sessions! It's a perfect way for parents to use their time wisely while waiting on the kids. Sessions will be offered to current Sun Country members and non-members as well. Also, make sure to express your interest by asking for more information at the front desk at either Sun Country location.
